Insurance

I am currently an in network provider with First Choice insurance. I am an out of network provider for most other insurance companies. Many people are able to obtain reimbursement for some or all of my services under their out of network coverage from their insurance provider. I can provide you with a form to receive full or partial reimbursement, depending on your insurance plan.

How to Get Reimbursed for Therapy Using Your Out-Of-Network Benefits.
Many clients are able to receive partial reimbursement from their insurance company when seeing an out-of-network provider. This means you pay my full fee up front, and your insurance company may reimburse you for a portion of the cost.

Here's how it works:

1. Check your out-of-network benefits

Before starting, it’s helpful to call your insurance company and ask these questions:
-
Do I have out-of-network mental health benefits?
-
What is my deductible, and how much of it has been met?
-
What percentage of each session will be reimbursed after I meet my deductible?
-
What is the allowed amount for CPT code 90837 (53-minute therapy session)?
-
How do I submit a claim for reimbursement? (Online portal, mail, app?)
-
How long does reimbursement usually take?

2. Pay for Services Directly

You pay for each session at the time of service.
Afterward, I’ll provide a superbill, which is a detailed receipt you can submit to your insurance for reimbursement.

3.Submit your claim

You can submit claims using:
-
Your insurance company’s member portal, or
-
A claim-submission app such as Reimbursify (small per-claim fee, optional convenience).

4. Receive reimbursement

If you have out-of-network coverage, your insurance company will send reimbursement directly to you (either by check or direct deposit).
